Great Movie Music!

10 The Great Escape.
While ultimately the subject matter is gravely serious , this music helps to illustrate the comic relief and gives the audience a chance to see the POWs in their best light.

9 Terminator: Main Theme
While this movie borders on horror at times this music captures the human element of the film.

8 Lord Of The Rings.
With its grand scores it feels truly grand, but its shire
theme can make you long for the simple life.

7 Indiana Jones
Just hearing this music makes you think "Adventure." Powerful artifacts with the Nazi's and their army of darkness seeking to exalt themselves. Epic music for epic conflict.

6 Superman
John Williams is the man. This movie wouldn't have been nearly as good without this music. This music makes you feel like standing right next to Superman and stand for Truth, Justice, and The American Way!

5 Rocky: Main Theme
If you've heard it you know why its on the list.

4 Mission Impossible
This theme is perfect. If your facing incredible odds but just might have what it takes this is your song.

3 STAR WARS: Duel of the Fates
This music is truly epic! It embodies the battle between greatest good and darkest evil. It is perfect for the hands down greatest fight scene in the entire series. Noble Jedi fight the a most intimidating foe, with only Vaders indifference edging out Mauls explosive energy. This music came to signify Anakins struggle in later films. All in all just great.

2 The Hunt for Red October: Main Theme
Communism sucks, but this music playing while the Red October Ballistic Missile Submarine moves across the screen is powerful. It emotes the real power of the Russian war machine. A great choir singing in Russian gives this music epic appeal.

1 STAR WARS: Jedi Theme
John Williams is a genius. When Luke looks out into Tatooine's setting twin suns, the emotion overwhelms you. The music is so rich! You can almost feel Luke's longing. This piece also plays as Luke lights Anakin Skywalker's pyre with a tone that illustrates the grief of loss but the joy of redemption. While Star Wars has some amazing and grand marches none of those can touch the gentle influence of the beautiful soft, but rich sounds of the horns playing this piece.
