Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda.

There has been a lot of talk about the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. I heard one woman say "why couldnt Bush nominate a woman." Another comment I heard was "he sounds like he is WAY conservative!"

The fact is that Bush did nominate a woman who seemed to be more moderate. If democrats wanted to have a leg to stand on they should have supported Miers, but they didnt. Now they are stuck with the consequences of their actions, or shall we say their failure to act. Tough luck, however they have no room to complain now.
